From colour to black and white, from black and white to colour

                                                                                                                        Discarding colour data

Black and white pictures are images which only contain black and white values.using photoshop i started the first task in the colour to black and white section of converting a colour picture to black and white the method todo so on photoshop is fairly simple especially after watching the online tutorial provided on udo.

convert to black and white - image- mode-grey scale - this technique used grey scale which is images printed with single non black ink

The next task was desaturating the colour file  to which gives the black and white image a slight difference in comparison to the none desaturated picture the difference was mainly that in certain parts of the picture it was lighter in original black and white picture where as in the desaturated picture in areas it is much darker, so i do think converting to black and white in different ways does make a diffrence the image .And what i like in particular about black and white photography is it takes you back to basics and shows a lot of detail which perhaps would not see or notice in colour.

Desaturating - image - adjust - hue /satuation then simply alter the settings
