Creating an audiovisual slideshow

This part of the project is all about putting together pictures and music and fitting the two together, almost like the old-fashioned holiday snaps slide show with music which everyone used to dread seeing. After looking through the online tutorials of sound slides i decided to do mine on windows movie maker as i am more familiar of this and have used this program before. For my pictures i chose some old holiday snaps i took of a Dolphin show in Spain, i thought about what kind of music i would use to link with the pictures and i settled on Gold by Duran Duran .The reason i chose this song was because Dolphins are brilliant creatures and when they do performances for people they always seem at their very best and in life you associate gold as being the very best. Furthermore when editing the pictures and music together i wanted the music to relate to certain pictures, when the chorus reaches the line gold! i wanted the picture of the Dolphins jumping up in the air as i thought this worked really well together the impact on the slideshow this has is it links the two together and makes it more than just a song in the background , the worlds relate to the image and therefore it tells a story. The music enhances the pictures because it brings the photos to life because the words are telling the story of the pictures equally the pictures enhance the music because it is giving a image to the words of the song and also a song can be telling a different story to different listeners by having pictures the music is telling the same story to anyone viewing the slideshow, as well as making both the pictures and music a lot more interesting than they would be by there selves.
