Restoring old picture-
After scanning an old photo onto my computer and
then uploading onto Photoshop i already knew which tools to use and had
previously known how to do this on Photoshop, i first used the spot healing
brush in order to get rid of any dust marks on the photograph this tool simply copied
part of the photo which was clear and pasted over the dust mark. Also
using saturation which gave an almost sepia look to which then through clicking
on image then auto colour to give the picture an instant blast of colour to
which i then played around with using brightness and contrast settings to get
the right level of brightness and colour in the photo.
Question for reflection - The question was how far
should you go when restoring, my answer to this is that i think you should
go as far as i did as if start to use to many tools on the picture and changing
it to much the picture looks to edited where as restoring it you simply want it
to look natural but better quality to which i think i achieved with my picture.
